Gluten-Free Bread

If you’re sick of buying expensive loaves of gluten-free bread only to be disappointed, it’s time to start making this simple and delicious bread at home. Don’t worry, you won’t be out searching for multiple grains and binders. This gluten-free bread recipe can be made with a simple 1:1 gluten-free flour blend. Many brands will work, but my absolute favorite is Pamela’s. Using Pamela’s 1:1 gluten-free flour blend will give you the most spring in your loaf!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups 1:1 gluten-free flour
  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup or sugar
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 + 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk, warm
  • 4 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 3 eggs

Directions

Mix all the dry ingredients together. Then mix in the milk, then the butter, then the eggs. Beat on high for 3 min. Cover in bowl & let rise for 1 hour. Grease a 9×5 bread pan & transfer batter to the pan. The dough will be a thick batter consistency. Using a spatula or buttered fingers, press the dough level. Cover with greased plastic wrap & let rise 45-60 min. Bake at 350°F for 35-42 min, until golden brown. Butter the top of the loaf.

Notes

This bread is best enjoyed fresh for a sandwich. To keep, I recommend slicing & freezing. Reheated, it is perfect for toasting.
