The hamburger helper from childhood without the junk ingredients. It’s creamy, cheesy, packed with protein, and made with simple pantry ingredients you probably already have on hand. Best of all? It comes together in one pan and tastes so much better than the boxed version.
In a large skillet or deep pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. If there is excessive grease, drain some off.
Add the butter, gluten-free pasta, beef broth, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Stir everything together and bring to a gentle boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Let the noodles rest for a few minutes to thicken.
Add as much or as little cheese as you prefer. Your thickness will vary slightly. To thicken, simmer uncovered until the desired thickness is achieved.
